I went out with my family this evening, more to clear my head after last night, this is a local place called Lymm Dam, it is a superb place to visit this time of the year, I went to take this when I noticed my wife staring up at the tree so I took the image.
I wanted this to have a fantasy feel to it, its far from perfect with the lighting etc but I like it.
Sorry I have not been around much today, I have one hell of a hang over
Being just a little girl at heart and remembering the imaginary world into which I so often retreated from the harsh realities of life, this scene holds all the magical charm, the luring possibilities, the surreality of that "other world" that I held dear, and that I still dream about.
I can imagine all the elements of that other world - the hidden things and unseen entities that would be there; some hiding in the trunks and branches of the trees, some rummaging about under the red carpet of leaves, some peeking up from the river banks - and one solitary person caught up in it all just as I would be - a reminder of two life-forms, the eternally spiritual and the temporary existence of mankind.
The lighting is powerfully ethereal and if I listen hard enough, I think I can hear in the breeze, gentle whisperings of age-old truths that have long been forgotten by ordinary people too busy to pause and remember...
A highly evocative imagery, Mike, beautifully captured and processed. I can't think of anything to criticise, for it has simply brought me so much pleasure just being here for a few moments... Thank you so much for sharing it.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
