I have struggled with this image, how I treat it and if I should even upload it, its not staged, this is my son at the war memorial in Liverpool. He asked what it was about, so I tried to explain about war, how men die to keep what we have, each time I answered his question his response was why? I eventually ran out of reasons, at the end of the day I have to question if there are any real reasons as to why we should decide to kill each other at a political whim. When I could not answer any more I said it was time to go, I turned to walk away and realised he was not with me, when I turned I saw him doing this, he was reading the dedications. I took the photograph and walked back to him, I asked if he was OK, he simply said it was a shame.
I had never felt so guilty in my life. I decided to upload this after much soul searching, this is for the likes of my friend "Its a shame" __________________________________________ All my works are ©Mike Shaw Photography with all rights reserved and cannot be reproduced, altered, uploaded, printed or used in any other way without my written consent first. This means a lot to me, personally. To those who died in the war and those who miss them. Peace.
And what a masterpiece.

I wish that I could walk right up to you.
Each time I try, the same old hesitation!
This is beautiful.
